The second of our duo of one-word titles, “Timber!” takes place in beautiful northern California, where we help a nice lady with very inconsistent hair defeat an evil union.

One of our Big Three 80’s villains are back! We’re fighting fire fighters–with “Fire!” And bullets. And actually fire fighters aren’t one of the Big Three. Man I’m bad at this–but at least they’re not bread puns, right?

Nazis are working with Amazon Jungle Pirates to build a Secret Nuclear Reactor at “The Bend in the River!” No seriously, I’m not clever enough to make that up.

This is what we’d call one of those High Concept episodes–you know, where someone says “we should do an episode that has, I dunno, like lots of ‘Bullets and Bikinis’ or something.” And so they do. And here we are.

Hey, remember when Murdock did that crazy thing? And how about the time Face ran that scam? And who could forget that time B.A. was on a plane? It’s time for a “Curtain Call.”

“Semi-friendly Persuasion” is a gold mine of one-liners. It’s even got some two and three liners. It’s also unique in that the team completely abstains from violence for the entirety of their employment.

Bad guys hire the B-Team to take out the A-Team. There are some “Deadly Maneuvers.” And most important, Hannibal lights a cigar while an explosion goes off behind him in freeze frame.

What if 24 were written in the 80’s? What if Jack Bauer’s guns never hit anyone? And he could smoke because that was still cool. I imagine rescuing the girl and finding the bomb would be “Harder Than It Looks.”
